Requisition ID:72748 Job Description Seeking a Sr. Layout Designer responsible for the layout of RF and mixed signal integrated circuit components from schematics, diagrams or netlists utilizing commercial/standard bulk CMOS and SOI technologies in accordance with design rule. Preferred candidate will have understanding of power/gnd/ESD/analog placement and routing considerations. Responsible for taking the physical design from schematic through physical verification and tape:out in a timely manner with minimal assistance. Exposure to RF circuit and transmission line layouts is a plus. BAW filter layout is also a plus. Selected Candidate can work out of Woburn or Andover, MA; Irvine, CA; or Ottawa, Canada As a skilled specialist in IC layout, candidate must have the ability to complete tasks in creative and effective ways, and work on assignments requiring considerable judgement and initiative. The candidate must also understand implications of the work and be able to make recommendations for solutions, methodologies and procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Develops and prepares multi:dimensional layouts and detailed drawings of the semiconductor devices from schematics and related geometry provided by design engineering. Work may be completed through use of CAD or other computerized equipment. Checks dimensions, writes specifications, and verifies completed drawings, artwork or digitized plots. May check design layouts and detailed drawings. Focus : IC Layout, BAW Filters Responsibilities: Layout of RF and mixed:signal integrated circuit (IC) components from schematics, diagrams or netlists utilizing SOI, CMOS, RF CMOS and GaAs technologies in accordance with design rules.: Directly interfacing with the IC design engineers to produce and optimize layouts for size and performance.: Establish and meet project objectives and milestones. Qualifications: Associates Degree in CAD or engineering discipline; or equivalent experience. 8 years previous experience preferred.: For the generation of IC layouts and associated documentation. Must possess skills in the utilization of CAD tools, specifically Cadence Virtuoso 6.1.8, Cadence Virtuoso_XL, Assura and Calibre Verification tools including DRC, LVS, and ERC.: Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly changing environment.: A solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing is required.: Ability to coordinate and resolve issues with engineering groups.: Ability to work within schedule constraints and maintain high quality standards.: Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groups.: Must be detail oriented with strong customer service skills.: Must have Custom Analog, RF and Digital layout skills and be able to work at the cell, block and chip level.
