The Systems Technician works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and, in accordance with project specific requirements, concentrates efforts on the mechanical and electrical assembly of automated testing equipment. Essential Functions: : Review assembly Bill of Materials for accuracy : Mechanical assembly of aluminum extrusion frames per assembly drawing: Electrical assembly of low voltage control panel per electrical schematics: Mounting / fastening of precision measurementdevices used in automated testing equipment: Cable routing and termination: Inspect and Test Complete System Assemblies:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Test for mechanical robustness and reliability: Test for low voltage electrical functionality: Test device specific software for correct parametersettings: Operate Metal Fabrication Equipment:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Chop Saw: Cutting aluminum extrusions to desired lengths: Drill Press: Drill and tap holes: Bridgeport Mill: Counterbore aluminum extrusions / basic mounting bracket fabrication: Perform daily cleanup of production area: Follow standard safety and operating protocols: Participate in continuous improvement activities Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: : Use basic hand tools for mechanical and electrical assembly: Self:starter with ability to work well with others in a team environment: Detail oriented with strong follow through on various project duties: Effective time management skills: Ability to lift 50lbs: Basic PC skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office (preferred): Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics (preferred): Forklift certification (preferred): High school diploma, technical training with 2+ years' work experience (preferred)An emerging provider of next generation technology solutions, Applied Industrial Technologies has a growing automation footprint and expanding offering of motion control, machine vision, robotic and IIoT technologies, plus related value:added industrial expertise.
