Position Overview: The primary responsibility of the Bar Porter : South Bar is to provide unmatched customer service through the efficient and thorough completion of their tasks, including but not limited to: keeping all bar areas (from the waist down) clean, removal of trash, and helping in operation of the department in any other way. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The VenetianResort's policies, practices, and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Company Standards of Conduct All Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company's standards, work requirements and rules of conduct. Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Minimum Qualifications::21+ years of age:Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States:High school Diploma or equivalent.: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Food handlers card, an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) cardand any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. :Must possess a minimum of one year experience as a Food and Beverage Busser in a high volume setting required.:One year experience cleaning in a bar operation setting preferred.:Have a basic knowledge of attractions/restaurants in the Las Vegas area and provided by the Venetian.:Must be detail oriented.:Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.:Maintain a professional, neat and well:groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards.:Maintain consistent adherence to the Venetian and Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards.: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form. : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. : Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements: Must be able to: :Lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.:Work in a fast:paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.:Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.:Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.:Withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.:Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.:Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.:Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.:Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non:hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
