Position description Li Lab - Junior or Assistant Specialist - Experimentalist Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics UC San Francisco The Li Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UCSF has a job opening as Junior or Assistant Specialist. The duty of the experimentalist is to support our research effort on cellular rejuvenation through transcriptional reprogramming and anti-aging drug screening, by performing various cell and molecular biology experiments. Required Qualifications: For the Junior rank, baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) in genetic, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry or related fields or at least four years of research experience. For the Assistant rank, master's degree (or equivalent degree) in genetic, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry or related fields or a baccalaureate degree with three or more years of research experience. Hands-on experience with cell culture and a broad range of molecular biology techniques. Experience with microscopy and flow cytometry. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow complex protocols. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. See Table 24B for the salary range for this position.
