OPS Nursing Program Specialist : Open Competitive Opportunity Salary: 35.00 per hour Your Specific Responsibilities: This is a registered nursing position with responsibilities in the following areas: Nursing, EPI, Immunizations, Outreach services, STI and other areas as assigned. Experience working with diverse racial, ethnical, and socioeconomic populations preferred. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, providing: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Nursing support in epidemiology department.: Rapid HIV testing in both outreach and clinical setting.: Immunizations : Patient education on Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, and other chronic diseases in both outreach and clinical setting: Special health screenings as assigned : Nursing care in the Special Needs Shelter during activation during emergencies Qualifications: :Florida Department of Health is required to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs shelter or performing other emergency duties including but not limited to, response to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster man:made or natural.:Current Florida Registered Nurse license or a multi:state from another compact state.:Basic Life Support certification.:Willing to work occasional flexible hours when needed, including some occasional evenings and weekends.:1:3years of verifiable nursing experience.:Valid Florida driver's license.:Willing to distribute information on family planning (including emergency contraceptives)/HIV/Sexually transmitted diseases and other health related topics to pregnant and parenting adolescents and adults.
