Human Services Program Supervisor IIThe Healthy Start program is a care coordination program for pregnant women and infants up to age 3. Services are provided in the client's home throughout Pinellas County. The headquarters for this position is at the health department site in St. Petersburg.Pregnant women complete a Healthy Start screening form at their first prenatal care program and are referred to Healthy Start as needed. Infants are also screened at birth at all local hospitals and are referred as needed.This Human Services Program Supervisor II position reports directly to the Health Services Manager B: Healthy Start Program Manager. This position is responsible for supervising home visiting staff. This position is responsible for supervision of the South County Healthy Start team. The team consists of 4 Healthy Start Counselors. The team provides Healthy Start Care Coordination services that link pregnant women and infants with the supports and services that complement, supplement, and assure continued participation in prenatal and infant health care. Pregnant women complete a Healthy Start screening form at their first prenatal care program and are referred to Healthy Start as needed. Infants are also screened at birth at all local hospitals and are referred as needed. Your Specific Responsibilities- Supervision of staff to include weekly supervision.- Monitoring of staff performance including yearly performance evaluations.- Ensuring that staff accurately enter all data and documentation into the Well Family System- Reviewing and approving timesheets and mileage reimbursements for staff.- Monitoring scanned documents completed by clerical staff. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Experience supervising staff.- Experience working with pregnant women and children.- Problem solving skills.- Ability to work well with others as a team.- Computer skills: competency and experience- Ability to communicate in a clear, effective manner.- Reflective listening skills- Knowledge of community resources. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.- Florida Drivers' License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Qualifications:Minimum:- Bachelors degree in a Social Services field- Valid Florida Drivers License- Experience supervising staff.
