Position Title: Analyst Financial Planning and Analysis Position Summary: The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst assists the Manager Financial Planning and Analysis inunderstanding cost components and developing presentations for senior management.The Analyst participates in monthly, quarterly and annual variance reviews andin long term financial management, strategic initiatives and competitive analysis. The Analyst also assists with various ad hoc analyses as necessary. Essential Responsibilities: : Assist Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis with forecasting, budgeting, and oversight of business unit: Collaborate with Accounting and business units to ensure forecast is accurately aligned to actuals: Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual presentations for Senior Departmental leaders: Provide data analytics and financial modeling that result in insights for the business : Create models to highlight various trends within the business and airline industry: Collaborate with others to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to cost center leaders through proper financial analysis, collaboration and critical thinking : Understand impact of investment decisions on departmental and company:wide financials: Update and improve current financial models and databases, including short and long:term forecasts: Partner and communicate effectively with different groups and organizational levels across JetBlue: Prepares ad hoc reporting and analyses as assigned: Other duties as assignedMinimum Experience and Qualifications: : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience: One (1) year of finance and/or analytical experience: Experience with or basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles : Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient with Word and other Microsoft Office Products: SQL, Tableau experience a plus: Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills: Available for occasional overnight travel (10): Must pass a pre:employment drug test: Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located: Authorized to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipPreferred Experience and Qualifications: : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's of Business Administration (MBA): Experience using Tableau or similar data visualization tool: Advanced forecasting and modeling capabilities Crewmember Expectations: : Regular attendance and punctuality: Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short:notice: Able to maintain a professional appearance: When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft: Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion: Promote JetBlue's 1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards: Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))Equipment: : Computer and other office equipment Work Environment: : Traditional office environment Physical Effort: : Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently.
