As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Co-Manager of Kitchen and Events to join our team. Position Overview Key Responsibilities: Menu Development and Revision: · Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus that showcase fresh, locally sourced ingredients and innovative culinary concepts. · Conduct regular menu tastings and gather feedback from staff and customers to refine offerings and ensure customer satisfaction. · Revise menus seasonally to incorporate new dishes, adjust pricing, and respond to changing trends and customer preferences. Kitchen Operations Management: · Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. · Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. · Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. · Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency. Event and Concert Management: · Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute events and concerts that enhance the overall guest experience. · Coordinate with vendors, performers, and staff to ensure smooth event logistics and timely execution. · Promote events through various channels to drive attendance and revenue. · Monitor event performance and gather feedback to continuously improve future events. Legal Department Partnership: Collaborate with the legal department to review and negotiate event contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and protecting the interests of the restaurant. Seek legal guidance on contractual terms, liabilities, and risk management related to event agreements. Collaborate with the legal department on the preparation, execution, and management of event contracts, including rental agreements, catering contracts, and vendor agreements. Ensure that all contractual obligations are clearly defined, documented, and communicated to relevant stakeholders. Payment Tracking and Processing: Develop and maintain a system for tracking event payments, including deposits, installments, and final balances. Monitor payment deadlines and follow up with clients to secure timely payments according to contract terms. Coordinate with accounting department to process event payments and reconcile accounts receivable. Contractual Compliance: Ensure that all parties involved in events comply with contractual obligations, including payment schedules, cancellation policies, and event specifications. Address any discrepancies or disputes related to event contracts and work with the legal department to resolve issues in a timely and equitable manner. Client Communication and Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding event contracts, payments, and logistics. Foster positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of event contracts, payments, correspondence, and related documentation. Prepare reports and summaries for management review, providing insights into event revenue, payment status, and contract performance. Team Leadership: · Lead and inspire a diverse team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration. · Provide clear direction, guidance, and feedback to employees, setting performance expectations and holding team members accountable for their responsibilities. Staff Training and Development: · Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing professional development opportunities for existing staff. · Identify and nurture talent within the team, providing opportunities for advancement and skill enhancement through cross-training and specialized training initiatives. Performance Management: · Conduct regular performance evaluations and constructive feedback sessions with employees to recognize achievements, address areas for improvement, and support career growth. · Utilize performance metrics and feedback from customers to evaluate team performance and identify areas for enhancement in service quality and efficiency. Conflict Resolution: · Proactively address conflicts and interpersonal issues among staff members, utilizing effective communication and conflict resolution techniques to promote a harmonious work environment. · Act as a mediator in resolving disputes between staff and ensure that grievances are addressed promptly and fairly in accordance with company policies and procedures. Strategic Planning and Execution: · Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and improving operational efficiency. · Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and financial data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in service offerings and business processes. Qualifications: 21+ years of age or older · Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting. · Strong culinary skills and a passion for food and beverage innovation. · Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. · Solid understanding of kitchen management best practices, including inventory management and cost control. · Experience in event planning and management, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. · Certification in food safety and sanitation preferred. The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 40 pounds (or more with a co-worker).
