Our growing company is looking for a hard-working and skilled construction worker. Under our construction manager’s direction, you will work alongside a team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen, and apply your knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment to keep the project on track. You must have previous job-site experience, Basic knowledge in construction is required and must be able to use common hand tools and run small equipment; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; and perform heavy lifting, moving, digging or other manual work typical of the class. have a great work ethic and physical stamina. Responsibilities: • Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc.• Tear down old structures, and build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site• Run hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as survey equipment, jackhammers, and forklifts as required• Properly dispose of debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean and meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements• Comply with all instructions given by the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately• Support craft workers (painters, electricians, carpenters, roofers, plasterers), sub-contractors, and other tradesmen as needed Qualifications: • Equivalent, GED, or high school diploma is required - Associate’s degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred• Past construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment and the ability to understand blueprints and construction plans are required• This position relies on physical strength and stamina • Able to work in inclement weather like extreme temperatures, rain, etc.• Strong depth perception, good eye-hand coordination, and mechanical skills are helpful Compensation: $15 - $19 hourly About Company: Since 2015 we have been building the grand strand and surrounding areas.
