Senior Environmental Chemist Job Locations US-WV-Hurricane Category Environmental Type Full-Time Overview CEC is looking for a Senior Environmental Chemist who is interested in being part of our growing and dynamic team - outstanding professionals who combine strong consulting and business development skills with a solid technical foundation. CEC is dedicated to sustainable and innovative approaches in solving our clients' complex environmental problems. We prioritize safety, environmental responsibility, and technological advancement in all of our operations. Your work will influence the entire project - from assessment and investigation, (including solving complex groundwater issues), to conceptual remediation design plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will also serve as a mentor to junior staff, educating them about field data collection, environmental design parameters, as well as regulatory criteria. This outstanding opportunity is catered to a senior level professional looking to advance their career with a leader in the environmental consulting industry. Qualifications B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or PhD a plus. Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing assessment and remediation design projects as well as permitting and/or environmental compliance activities; Experience with solving issues associated with the mining industry a plus; Strong working knowledge of state/federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to environmental compliance and remediation systems; Experience working with regulatory agency personnel in the tristate area (PA, OH, WV) a plus; Demonstrated success in the development and execution of business development strategies including creation of market/client intelligence, win themes, client relationship management, and revenue generation. Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior scientists while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous learning. Ability to speak and write professionally, including experience with preparation of regulatory submittals, along with the ability to effectively present complex technical information to diverse audiences including trade associations. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with professionals from various backgrounds. About Us We have experts!
