About You As the Software Development Supervisor, youll play a crucial role in leading our talented development team. You are a passionate software professional with a knack for systems thinking and thrive in both custom software development and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) environments. Your expertise and creativity will have a significant impact as we build innovative solutions that drive our business forward. A Day in the Life of a Software Development Supervisor: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business leaders. Your ability to collaborate and lead will shine as you guide the team through project lifecycles. Whether its choosing between building custom solutions or leveraging existing COTS products, you will be the go-to person for making strategic, informed decisions. Nurture the skills of your team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement through mentorship and coaching. Roll up your sleeves and dive into coding when needed. Your technical expertise and hands-on approach will inspire others and keep our projects on track. What youll need: Minimum of 5 years of experience with hands-on software development. Experience in a leadership role preferred. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is required. Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or C# and familiarity with web technologies, databases, and cloud platforms. Ability to see the big picture and make informed decisions that align with business goals. Clear and concise communication for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. Analytical mindset with a knack for troubleshooting complex issues. Experience with Agile methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement.
