Scientist II, Target Validation and Mechanism of Action

Our Ideal Candidate: You are an experienced scientist with a strong background in cell and molecular biology with demonstrated expertise in the application of your skills to drug discovery. Specifically, you have a proven track record in target validation, assay development, and mechanism-of-action of studies using a variety of chemical and genetic approaches. You can identify, design, and execute key experiments and effectively communicate data to drive decision making. You are highly motivated and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, data driven setting. Responsibilities: Identify appropriate model systems and approaches to validate target biology Design and implement assays to support our protein degradation platform Utilize chemical, molecular and genetic approaches to define mechanisms of action of small molecule protein degraders Support projects from the earliest stages through to clinical development Communicates science and strategy effectively in a variety of settings Required Qualifications: Ph.D. with a minimum of 2+ years, MS with 5+ years or BS with 8+ years of experience in drug discovery Demonstrated impact in design and execution of early stage research program(s) to validate target biology Experience with assay development and evaluating the mechanism of action of small molecules Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Desire and capacity to participate in a dynamic and fast-paced research setting Integrity, collaboration, energy and drive Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in targeted protein degradation strongly preferred What we offer: Industry competitive compensation Annual target bonus Stock options 401K plan Career advancement opportunities Monthly town halls to share business and scientific updates Work Hard, Stay Well Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for employees and their dependents Health and Dependent Care FSA and HSA Plan with monthly Neomorph contribution Employee Assistance Program 10 holidays + Winter Shutdown + 3 weeks of vacation time with additional accruals after 2nd year of employment, separate sick leave.
