Job descriptionInternational Delights, located in the vibrant community of Clifton, NJ, is a leading bakery dedicated to crafting delightful and high-quality baked goods. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sanitation Supervisor. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our bakery facility. As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the sanitation team, implementing cleaning schedules, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (FDA. SQF, HCCP), managing chemicals and disposable materials, and adhering to SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).Key Responsibilities:Lead and motivate a team of sanitation staff to ensure cleaning and sanitation of all aspects of the facility and equipment.Schedule and assign daily cleaning tasks, considering production schedules and facility needs. Assure that the roof, building, and grounds are kept clean and free of litter.Report any major problems found during routine maintenance, so appropriate corrective action can be taken.Maintain an organized inventory of sanitation chemicals and disposable materials.Order and restock supplies as needed, always ensuring an adequate stock. Control and interact with pest control contractor.Conduct regular inspections to ensure that sanitation procedures, including SSOP, are followed meticulously.Collaborate with production and quality control teams to maintain product quality and safety.Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and chemical/material usage.Prepare and submit regular reports to management on sanitation performance and compliance.Provide training to sanitation staff on SSOP, proper handling, and usage of chemicals and disposable materials.Stay informed about new cleaning technologies and industry best practices.Coordinate with the maintenance team to address any equipment issues promptly.Qualifications:Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role, preferably in a food production environment. Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills bilingual is a plus. Knowledge of sanitation regulations, chemical handling, SSOP, and best practices.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. / Additional certification in sanitation or a related field is a plus.This job description should not be viewed as an all-inclusive list of the responsibilities related to your position.
