Job Description Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and security of communities? Our company, a leading provider of fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems across the West Coast and Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our dynamic team in Denver. Responsibilities: Perform service, testing, inspection, programming, and installation of low voltage Fire Alarm Systems, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Obtain and maintain all necessary local licensure, including the CSA Card. Respond to on-site emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. Identify and address code and non-conformance issues at customer sites, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with our team and electrical installers to install and commission new fire alarm systems, contributing to project success and client satisfaction. Execute work in a safe manner, following all required safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Travel within Colorado and Wyoming to job sites as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Perform work in challenging environments, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment, while maintaining a focus on safety. Utilize construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to understand and execute installation activities effectively. Qualifications: Willingness to become or be a member of the IBEW Local Union 68, fostering a commitment to professional excellence and industry standards. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in fire alarm systems, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in the field. Minimum NICET Level II certification in Fire Alarm Systems, showcasing technical competence and knowledge. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Denver Fire Alarm Systems Installer license (CSA Card), ensuring compliance with local regulations. At least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED as minimum educational requirements. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, enabling reliable transportation to job sites. Ability to carry and maneuver equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds, facilitating effective job performance. Comfort working in a fast-paced construction environment, including exposure to outdoor conditions and varying weather conditions.
