Natural Gas Mechanic

Description:
Responsibilities: * Knowledge on some (but not all) of the following required: Waukesha, Caterpillar, Cooper slow speed, Turbines, Ariel, or Ajax packages. * Service, maintain, and test engine shutdown systems * Service and maintain Quincy, Ingorsoll Rand, & White superior Compressors. * Troubleshoot Compressors and Natural Gas Engines and complete Field Repairs as needed * Must have good knowledge of Engine Systems and Engine Controls * Ability to do a complete in frame overhaul and complete rebuilds is a plus * Diesel engine or pump repairs are a plus * Communicate daily status/production reports to customer representatives * Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical manuals * Promote good housekeeping methods on platform * Visual inspection of pumps and motors to detect abnormal conditions previous start commissioning test * Decoupling and reinstallation of pumps if it is necessary * Correction of Piping alignment with equipment if necessary * Assistance in process system tests where mechanical equipment is involved * Detection and correction of problems with soft foot in pumps * Detect and solve common failures in pumps * Assistance to fix leaks detected during leak test if it is necessary * Assistance in leak test lines reinstatement * Assistance in fill vessels process, helping with hose connection to make sure no leak presence Qualifications: * Experience with CATS, Waukesha, Cooper slow speed, turbines, Ariel or Ajax packages is a plus * Service, maintain, and test engine shutdown systems * Troubleshoot Compressors and Natural Gas Engines and complete Field Repairs as needed * Must have good knowledge of Engine Systems and Engine Controls * Ability to do a complete in frame overhaul and complete rebuilds is a plus * Diesel engine or pump repairs are a plus * Communicate daily status/production reports to customer representatives * Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical manuals * Promote good housekeeping methods on platform * 5+ years' experience offshore/in-land as a Natural Gas Engine and Compressor Mechanic is REQUIRED * MUST be willing to work a callout schedule-24/7 * MUST have a Valid driver's license and a clean driving record * MUST have a Valid TWIC card * Strong Troubleshooting skills are a must * Ability to travel by helicopter or boat and use swing rope * MUST have VALID passport * Must have Seaman's Book Apply today!
