Practice Area: Litigation - Real Estate - Defense,Litigation - General (consumer),Litigation - Construction - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm located in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully executing legal strategy, including taking depositions, motion practice, trial, arbitration, hearings, and other key litigation events. Previous experience advocating for clients in a law firm setting is required. Some experience with real estate or commercial construction litigation (excluding defect) is preferred. Duties:Execute legal strategy in commercial litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, hearings, and other litigation events.Produce witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and legal analysis.Interface directly with attorneys and clients to provide updates and discuss case strategy.Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.Assist with case management, including document review and discovery.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation. Requirements:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.Admission to the California state bar.3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably with law firm experience.Previous experience advocating for clients in litigation matters.Ability to work independently and productively.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills. Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the California state bar.
