You'll be at the forefront of supporting our Accounting Department and company operations, contributing to the development and execution of our vision, mission, and functional strategy for fixed asset accounting in alignment with our overarching strategic goals.As an integral member of the Tidal Wave accounting team, you'll collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive strategies and priorities that drive towards company objectives and uphold stringent financial controls. Building strong partnerships with business leaders, you'll drive value-added measurable results and foster continuous process improvement.Your responsibilities will include assessing monthly PP&E and repairs & maintenance spend in order to accurately classify records, as well as managing write-offs of replaced PP&E. Join us in shaping the financial landscape of our organization while making a meaningful impact on our growth and success. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out special projects as required. Responsibilities include overseeing all fixed asset accounting functions in a capital intensive multi-location environment, including, but not limited to, duties associated with the monthly financial close, reconciliations, maintaining a strong internal control environment, asset management, and capital reporting. This position also collaborates with key Finance business partners to develop and refine processes while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal controls. Ensures the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month end close activities for fixed assets, including journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and reporting. Reviews Asset requests and capital purchase orders to ensure proper account treatment in accordance with GAAP and compliance with capitalization policy. Functions as the point of contact for the business on all aspects of capital expenditure request and the assessment of repairs & maintenance expenditure vs. capitalization spend categorization. Supports the corporate tax group on matters related to fixed assets. Works directly with internal and external auditors on all matters pertaining to functional area of responsibility. Prepares ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management. Professional Skills Preferred: Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting required. CPA preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant progressive corporate accounting experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Strong time management and organizational skills required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Experience with a large ERP, preferably Workday Financials. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with demonstrated ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, and apply sound judgment. Experience and strong understanding of monthly close and reporting cycles in a large complex US corporate environment preferred. Requirements: Can pass a drug test and criminal background check.
