SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of a multidisciplinary heath care team to provide total primary care of patients in collaboration with the physician and other health care providers. Follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): * Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employment * Basic Life Support (BLS) PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S): None noted.
