JOB DESCRIPTION City of Atlanta Municipal Courts InternPosting Expires: May 9, 2024Salary: $17.00/hourGeneral Description and Classification StandardsPerforms various and diverse administrative and/or project duties depending on specific department and job assignment. This title is typically assigned to someone currently in high school or attending college who is interning to gain more experience and knowledge of a specific function in municipal government.Supervision ReceivedWorks under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.Essential Duties & Responsibilities These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assignedPerforms various and diverse administrative and/or project duties depending on specific department and job assignment. This title is typically assigned to someone currently in high school or attending college who is interning to gain more experience and knowledge of a specific function in municipal government. Engages in on-the-job training on operational policies and work procedures to attain the necessary talents which allow the incumbent to contribute to the work being produced by the organizational unit to which assigned. Collects information/data. Compiles and prepares reports. May prepare presentations for staff members. Attends project team meetings. May do filing, answer phone and other clerical duties in addition to administrative/project assignments.Decision MakingFollows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.Leadership ProvidedNone.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities This is a partial listing of necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job successfully.
