Practice Area: Litigation - Labor & Employment, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience in handling employment litigation in federal and state court, EEOC, and NYSDHR. The candidate should have experience developing strategy, drafting pleadings, taking/defending depositions, arguing motions, and providing advice and counsel on workplace compliance and legal issues. Duties:Handle employment litigation matters in federal and state court, EEOC, and NYSDHR.Develop litigation strategy and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Take and defend depositions.Argue motions in court.Provide advice and counsel to clients on workplace compliance and legal issues.Conduct legal research and analysis.Assist with investigations and discovery.Prepare for and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.Work independently on assigned matters and collaborate with partners and other attorneys as needed. Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.4+ years of employment law experience.Experience handling employment litigation in federal and state court, EEOC, and NYSDHR.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing. Skills:Experience developing litigation strategy.Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills.Ability to take and defend depositions.Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.Familiarity with EEOC and NYSDHR procedures.Ability to provide practical advice and counsel to clients.Proficiency in legal research and writing.
