ResponsibilitiesThe Finance & Accounting Team has fiduciary responsibility for financial aspects of our end-to-end business, including all accounting and regulatory facets of Product, from 'Farm to Fork' ... Facilities, from 'Greenfield to Sunset' ... and Partners, from 'Recruit to Retire.' The team also oversees our Mexico Division's accounting, tax, and finance operations.As a Manager I, Tenant Accounting, you'll manage and develop Partners who perform accounting and financial reporting for all core business functions related to tenant operations., This includes leveraging accounting expertise to provide analysis and building relationships with both internal and external customers You'll serve as subject matter expert and set goals for your department, while developing, coaching, and inspiring your team.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.Do you have a:HEART FOR PEOPLE... management and leadership skills?HEAD FOR BUSINESS... accounting knowledge to serve as subject matter expert?PASSION FOR RESULTS... drive to build vision and strategy, and inspire your team to get there?What is the work?Leadership / Management:- Manages partners responsible for tenant accounting functions, which includes assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work- Coaches, mentors, inspires, and develops career path planning for the team- Leads team through change management / implementation initiatives & drives process improvement- Models a customer service mentality, H-E-B culture, and department vision/strategy- Creates & maintains positive relationships with accounting-related stakeholders- Communicates with / presents to a wide variety of audiences at all levels Accounting:- Learn and maintain Property Management software (Yardi Voyager) along with Commercial Café tenant portal- Update and maintain Tenant Lease information on Yardi Voyager for Tenants of Shopping Center Development- Process and bill Tenants for year-end recoveries on real property tax and insurance and common area maintenance- Prepare financial statements for shopping centers which includes, but not limited to, transaction processing including billing & collections, expense classification, allocation of shared cost, reconciling bank accounts, posting monthly journal entries, & providing variance analysis.- Performs financial functions related to budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis- Prepare and post period close entries as well as prepares account reconciliations; reviews account reconciliations prepared by others- Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines; recommends appropriate variances- Serves as a resource to the department and others within the company by providing accounting information as requested.What is your background?- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field- 7+ years of experience in accounting / finance field- 2+ years supervisory experienceDo you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Manager I of Accounting?- Experience with Voyager Property Management System or related property management system a plus- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory accounting practices- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials a plus- Advanced MS Office and software skills, including database management, spreadsheets, and graphics- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail- Advanced verbal / written communication skills- Advanced time-management skills- Management / leadership skills- Ability to confidently communicate at all levels of management / leadership and Partners- Ability to apply a solid understanding of customers and their needs to work processes Can you...- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Sit for extended periods- Work extended hours04/2024FINACC3232The Finance & Accounting Team has fiduciary responsibility for financial aspects of our end-to-end business, including all accounting and regulatory facets of Product, from 'Farm to Fork' ...
