The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wage hour, and employment contract cases. Job Overview:The Employment Defense Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of employment litigation matters, providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, and developing strategies for defending clients in employment-related disputes. This role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, familiarity with federal and state employment statutes, and the ability to work independently. Duties:Handle employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage hour, and employment contract casesDevelop litigation strategy and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsTake and defend depositionsArgue motions in courtProvide advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodations, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policiesConduct legal research and analysisCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courtManage and prioritize workload effectively Requirements:3+ years of experience in employment litigationAdmitted to the California BarJ.D. from an ABA-accredited Law SchoolLaw Review and/or Moot Court experience preferredStrong academic credentialsFamiliarity with federal and state employment statutesExcellent oral and written communication skills Education:Juris doctorate from an ABA-accredited Law School Certifications:Admission to the California Bar Skills:Strong analytical and research skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects effectivelyExcellent oral and written communication skillsFamiliarity with federal and state employment statutesExperience developing litigation strategy and drafting legal documents This nationwide firm is known for practicing in a wide range of areas including Employment and Labor Law, Real Estate, Insurance, Financial Services, Class Action, Construction Law, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, and many others.
