SUMMARY The Director of Channel Marketing, reporting directly to the SVP of US Brand & Marketing, assumes a pivotal role in shaping the go-to-market strategy for the U.S. This position demands a dynamic individual capable of translating overarching brand and innovation strategies into tangible external growth opportunities within the relevant channels. Collaboration is at the core of this role, requiring seamless interaction with various cross-functional departments such as Sales, Marketing, Digital, Creative, and international teams. The Director of Channel Marketing is instrumental in driving the brand's presence and success in the competitive US market. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strategic mindset, a proven ability to navigate complex cross-functional dynamics, and a track record of successfully executing go-to-market strategies. A core aspect of the role involves collaborating with channel leads on the strategic and successful development of Go-To-Market strategies and the rollout of priority projects. The Director will manage the creation and delivery of fully integrated campaigns across marketing, digital, and communications to ensure maximum impact, efficiency, and alignment across all company functions. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Channels Management: Collaborate with channel leads on a regular basis to ensure the successful execution of Go-To-Market strategies and priority projects. Contribute to the development of 360° brand and product campaigns across all marketing channels and regions, including the U.S. Lead strategic brief development, channel rollout plans, drive creative excellence, and ensure maximum impact, efficiency, and alignment with Brand messaging and DNA. Manage the development of briefs and ensure alignment with the Executive team to achieve relevance and impact with the target consumer. Supervise the implementation of marketing plans, providing detailed direction for each channel and its associated assets, including timing, messaging, and creative execution. Manage audience segmentation and customer journey mapping initiatives. Collaborate with key business leaders across product, brand marketing, social, influencer, visual merchandising, operations, and finance to support the execution of GTM plans. Ensure all programs are executed on-brand, within budget, and with excellence. Retail Strategy Development: Contribute insights and support in formulating retail-specific strategies, including launch support and seasonal calendars. Deliver marketing plans for seasonal launches and core business offerings during retailer market meetings. Promotional Gift Set Leadership: Take the lead in developing and executing promotional gift set strategies for key retailers such as holiday exclusive, influencer limited edition and seasonal custom set. Creative Ownership: Assume ownership of creative process for retailer-specific programs, working closely with the Brand Marketing team to ensure alignment with overall brand objectives. Analytical Insights and Sales Influence: Provide analytically supported recommendations to positively influence sales performance based on analytics. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs. Retail Calendar Oversight: Maintain and update the retail marketing and promotional calendar for key retailers. Collaborate with the retail team to develop relevant animations, events, and in-store programs. Test and Learn Support: Provide support and advice on test and learn programs for in-store marketing initiatives to enhance effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Stay up to date with competitor programs, provide ongoing updates and new ideas; maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and creative techniques. Field Communication and Seasonal Support: Manage the development of seasonal communications to the field, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and execution across all channels. Competitive Research Support: Conduct thorough competitive research to inform and support retail strategies, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging opportunities. Additional tasks as assigned. Sustainability Responsibility Ensure all duties carried out and actions completed in every aspect of your role, contribute to the short and long-term Sustainability Goals set-forth by the ELEMIS - Climate, Biodiversity & People Pillars QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS Minimum 8-10 years relevant work experience in Channel Marketing (CPG and/or Prestige beauty category a plus). Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing or Business, or MBA Experience managing Marketing for the following channels: Brand DTC, Sephora, Ulta, Amazon (preferably) Excellent presentation and communication skills are required. Ability to tell a story and find real insights to drive business with a strong attention to detail. Focus on results and tenacity to get things done on time. Solid project management skills. Proactivity and entrepreneurial mindset: ability to move, propose new ideas and take actions before asked. Management experience preferred. Collaborative; team player. Passion for beauty industry and knowledge of skincare. Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as requested. The salary range for this position is $150,000-$160,000.
