Marketing Manager

Are you an experienced marketing manager looking for a new opportunity in South Bend, IN? In this position you will help develop and manage marketing channels to expand and grow new account relations and grow product sales. Basic Functions: * Research and evaluate new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights. * Execute marketing strategies and the execution of plans for existing products. * Serve as a partner to sales and product development to determine the viability of potential markets before the production of a product. * Work with product development teams to manage new product development. * Manage launch campaigns for new products. * Manage distribution channels for products. * Ensure effective, branded marketing communications, including the company website, print communication, digital, social and advertising. * Manage media and marketing staff and external PR agencies. Responsibilities: * Lead direct reports with one-on-ones, setting and monitoring annual goals, and establishing priorities. * Become an expert in product offerings and unique selling propositions. * Understand competitive set of direct competitors and substitutable products. * Manage marketing communications across all media. * Effectively execute social media campaigns. * Recommend marketing and merchandising promotions. * Work with R&D on new product development. * Understand the pricing elasticity of products in our range and recommend pricing repositions to grow business and increase margin. * Manage end-to-end trade show processes. * Learn and utilize IT systems and procedures. * Customer service, partnership development and customer retention. * Help manage and execute tradeshow exhibiting. Requirements: * Insatiable curiosity * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in marketing, business, or engineering. A four-year college degree may be waived as a requirement if there is sufficient experience. * Prior experience in transportation, distribution, or warehousing a major plus. * Well-versed in Microsoft Office 365 as well as CRM knowledge and experience. * Strong project management, organizational and time management skills. * Critical thinker and a problem solver. * Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills * Self-motivated with ability to drive projects, but also team-chemistry oriented.
