We do this by building the framework of IdeaTeks fiber optic network. Were not a corporation, were a small crew with huge aspirations. Location: This position will work in outdoor elements in locations close to Hutchinson and Buhler, Kansas. Opportunity: We are looking for an Underground Fiber Technician to join our team! This position will support business operations in surrounding communities by helping build Ideateks underground fiber optic network.This is a challenging job. We are looking for people who enjoy working hard, are self-motivated, enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for problem solving and can work independently. If you are interested in a challenging but also rewarding career with opportunity to grow, this could be a perfect fit. Key Responsibilities (not limited to): Utilize all tools and equipment as needed to lay the groundwork for the fiber optic network (backhoe, excavator, shovel) Problem solve to overcome unusual obstacles and situations Keep equipment clean and tidy for everyday use Have a safety mindset for day-to-day activities Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment Utilize good communication skills Desired Attributes: Able to handle day-to-day tasks independently Aptitude for learning and growing Passionate with attention to detail Sense of urgency and follow through Excellent verbal and written communication skills Adaptable to changing priorities Tenacious attitude and a grit that wont quit Reliable, trustworthy and dependable
