The Permit Specialist is responsible for: Obtaining all alarm/electrical permits for customers in required areas. Ensuring inspections are completed when necessary. Researching state, and city requirements to ensure the company is compliant with all permit-related ordinances. Performing regular audits and analyses to maintain accurate compliance records. Answered incoming phone calls from various state and local government officials, Vivint customers, and members of other teams within the company. What we're looking for: This job involves regular and recurring work situations of a low to moderate level of complexity. The individual in this position must have excellent people skills with a high level of patience in dealing with all people they come in contact. This position operates from general guidelines and directions; the individual will receive a minimal level of supervision. Education : Some college preferred, but not required. Smart Home or Solar compliance experience preferred, but not required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Each new employee is responsible for completing all training requirements. Additionally, the employee must accept they have responsibility for maintaining the safety of themselves, their co-workers, and the public. Employees must adhere to all written and verbal instructions, promptly report and correct all hazards or unsafe conditions, question non-standard operations or unmitigated hazards, and provide feedback to management on all safety issues.
