Practice Area: Personal Injury Plaintiffs, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join their team in Stamford, CT.Job Overview:The Personal Injury Associate Attorney will be responsible for litigating CT personal injury cases, including automobile and premises liability cases. They will work closely with clients, team members, and partners to develop factual and medical evidence for injury claims.Duties:Litigate CT personal injury cases, including automobile and premises liability casesWork closely with clients, teams, and partners to develop factual and medical evidence for injury claimsDraft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other filings with various CT state courtsResearch a variety of novel legal issues in State and Federal casesPresent and argue discovery motionsManage the court approval process for wrongful death and minor casesPrepare cases for pre-litigation, litigation, and settlementManage the filing of pleadings, tracking service of process, and assuring SOL deadlines are metRequirements:Admitted to the CT Bar3+ years of personal injury experienceMust be a team player and willing to work collaboratively with colleaguesCaring and compassionate attitude with clients, consistent with the firm’s core value of Doing Good by Doing RightExcellent analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skillsHighly proficient in Microsoft suite and demonstrated comfort with technologyStrong time management and multitasking skillsAbility to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a busy environmentHigh attention to detail and superior organizational skillsConnecticut Bar Admission is required; New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia admission is a plusEducation and Certifications:JD from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Connecticut BarAdmission to other state Bars (optional)Skills:Litigation skillsLegal research and writingClient managementCase managementTime managementCommunication skillsAnalytical skillsOrganizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft SuiteJob Location: Stamford, CTBenefits offered:Salary based on prior experience and incentive bonus based on KPIs401(k) with attractive firm matchingHealth and dental insurance with most (if not all) premiums covered by the firmUp to $750 contribution in an HSAFSA accounts for transit and healthcarePaid Time Off (PTO), including 10 yearly holidaysSeparate sick/bereavement daysFirm closure between Christmas New Year’sBonusly awards for peer-to-peer recognitionFree annual dollars for continuing educationStrong company culture with annual firm retreat and holiday dinner.
