REMOTE WORK FROM HOME AVAILABLE Growing surplus lines carrier seeks Claims Examiner to investigate, evaluate, and resolve first party commercial property claims and commercial general liability claims and lawsuits, involving complex coverage, liability, and damage issues. Responsibilities: *** Review insurance policies for coverage decisions, prepare coverage letters, and make recommendations and decisions regarding the liability of an insured. *** Manage pending litigated and non-litigated claim files including ensuring proper documentation and maintaining a working diary of all assigned claims. *** Determine need for and direct investigation of coverage and liability issues, and extend settlement authority to staff adjusters. *** Oversee performance of independent adjusters, investigators, and outside counsel to achieve successful resolution of claims. *** Assist in the training of personnel within the unit, including providing technical assistance to staff adjusters on files. Desired Experience: *** Bachelor's degree. *** Experience handling complex multi-line Commercial General Liability, Auto, or Property claims, including advanced skills in coverage, investigation, litigation, negotiation, salvage, and subrogation.
