Forklift Operator-Assembly/Teardown Assistant

Description:
Alamo Transformer is hiring a Loader and Unloader forklift driver. Must be able to operate up to 36,000-pound loads using forklifts in both inside and outside environments and in a safe manner. Successful candidates will be required to move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by use of hand, forklifts, overhead cranes/hoists or pallet jacks or other equipment that may be required. Individual must maintain records of outdoor storage of inventory as well as expectations to manage inventory levels of parts and shop supplies. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in moving heavy equipment over 25,000 pounds. Successful candidates must show that they can follow directions and job work order process. Candidates will be expected to perform shop/yard maintenance and perform other duties that support the needs of the business which may require them to disassemble/reassemble transformers and evaluate quality of parts. Steel toed shoes and safety glasses are required as well as a worker's own tools for all shop jobs. Adhere to and follow safety practices that ensure a safe workplace. Previous experience working in a mechanical field will be helpful.The employee will need to bring basic tools to work: Socket Drive Open and box end wrench 1/4" Screw Drivers (Flat & Phillips) Tape Measurer 25'
