Steve Brown Apartments, a leader in Madison's rental market since 1980, is looking for a driven yet humble leader who is ready to join our management and accounting teams. What You'll Do All Day. You'll spend a good portion of your day ensuring our financials are accurate while leading your on-site team. You'll also assist with month-end processes, year-end capitalization of fixed assists, annual CAM reconciliation, auditing & monitoring resident records, and be the financial guru for management, staff, vendors, residents, and owners. You will get to demonstrate your leadership skills by helping develop general operating goals, and objectives while building a team of talent through coaching & training. People who do best in this role are strong leaders who are excellent communicators, problem solvers with genuine personalities, are motivated by results, and have strong attention to detail. You'll need to be customer-focused, highly organized, and able to delegate. We require a bachelor 's degree in accounting and 3-5 years of property management, real estate, or bookkeeping experience for this leadership position. You will work at our main office located in the heart of downtown Madison in a historic building converted into office space.
