Accounts Receivable Analyst

Description:
Duties and Responsibilities: Process and maintain precise records of incoming payments Send Statement of Accounts to customers Reconcile customer accounts Prepare and issue credit notes/debit notes Contact customers to ensure payment of outstanding invoices Follow up with customers regarding past-due accounts Work closely with Customer Service and Warehouse Dept. regarding accuracy of billings to customers Investigate and secure proper/complete documentation and approval of credits/deductions Run AR aging report with updated notes on the status of critical accounts Manage and calculate brokers' commissions Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits Other duties: Help in month-end close by creating journal entries related to AR and posting to ERP system (ROSS) Help in admin work such as answering and directing incoming calls and sorting incoming mails (as needed) Back up to AP Analyst (as needed) Back up to Customer Service (as needed) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts Good analytical skills and attention to detail A bility to work alone and/or as part of a team Good communication and interpersonal skills Good organizational skills Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Vlookup, Pivot table) Requirements and Qualifications Associate degree in Business or 1 year experience in AR (B2B environment) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance (preferred) Experience using ERP software & vendors/ customers portals & platforms (preferred)
