Practice Area: Litigation - Workers' Compensation - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in Maitland, FL, specializing in workers' compensation defense, is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and must have graduated from an accredited law school. Additionally, candidates must be active members of the Bar or have recently taken the Bar Exam.Duties:Represent clients in Workers' Compensation Defense cases.Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations on behalf of clients.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.Requirements:Experience practicing law, preferably in Workers' Compensation Defense.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Bar of Florida or eligibility to take the Bar Exam.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Prior experience with Workers' Compensation laws and procedures is preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Bar of Florida or eligibility to take the Bar Exam.Skills:Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Legal research and writing abilities.Litigation and negotiation skills.Time management and organizational skills.Proficiency in legal software and research tools.Benefits Offered:401(k) plan with matching employer contribution.Dental insurance.Health insurance.Health savings account.Life insurance.Paid time off.Referral program.Vision insurance.Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay and signing bonus.
