The Patent Agent (Biological Sciences) will play a key role in patent prosecution and other IP matters in the life sciences domain, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics. The position requires advanced knowledge in biological sciences, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle responsibilities including IP due diligences, patent litigations, and post-grant proceedings. Job Details:Draft and prosecute patent applicationsConduct patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analysesHandle IP due diligences, patent litigations, and post-grant proceedingsSpecialize in life sciences and cutting-edge technologiesFocus on gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics Requirements:Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years of industry experience) in the biological sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Virology).Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark OfficeExcellent written and oral communication skillsSuperior academic backgroundThe desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction2+ years of substantive patent experience; three to five years of experience preferred.
