You will perform analytical research for incoming legislative concepts and initiatives, implement changes to the Fleet Information Management System for tracking of various carbon reduction mandates and electric vehicle implementations, develop fleet procedures and rules and create standardized trainings. A day in the life: Provide statewide support to all of Fleet Services staff and customers who operate fleet vehicles/equipment by building and distributing ad-hoc reports as planned/requested to inform fleet investment, maintenance and operation practices and policies.Develop quarterly Fleet Condition Model's to identify the condition and replacement prioritization of over 7,000 of our statewide fleet equipment pieces. Represent ODOT Fleet Services and MOB statewide program interest on project teams with information technology (IT) staff and data warehouse staff to automate aspects of the reporting process using Microsoft PowerBi.Analyze operational reporting requirements by comparing information systems to regulations and requirements, and adapt/modify/improve current practices to keep pace with state enterprise technological advancement.Create presentations or executive summaries to communicate data and recommendations.Develop and manage information presentations for Fleet Operations Manager and Fleet Services Manager to deliver to a variety of audiences including fleet customers, agency leadership, state legislators, equipment vendors and the public.Work is performed in a typical office environment with occasional travel including overnight trips may be required. Rotational candidates are not required to meet minimum qualifications - Operations & Policy Analyst 2 minimum qualifications provided for information only: Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification; OR A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
