Responsibilities: • Be responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit• Set and monitor performance criteria for team members, as well as provide advice and direction to support and maintain an efficient kitchen• Create new and unique menu items and specials using various ingredients in an innovative way• Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees• Manage controllable department expenses such as food, supplies, uniforms, equipment, and collaborate with vendors to achieve the highest quality products at the most reasonable price Qualifications: • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers• Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate• Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role Compensation: $65,000 yearly About Company: The Schoolhouse Hotel is White Sulphur Springs' first full-service boutique hotel.
