Job Description: WORSHIP PASTOR Reports to: Senior PastorFull-time positionPitts Baptist Church in Concord, NC, is seeking a Worship Leader to lead the musical aspects of worship and church ministry. Pitts is a conservative Southern Baptist Convention church with approximately 500 in worship on Sunday mornings. We are multi-generational, with a representation of all age groups. We have a blended worship style - both traditional and contemporary. All of our pastoral staff members have lengthy tenures ranging from 18-30 years of ministry at Pitts. Our current Worship Leader is taking an early retirement after serving us 26 years. Pitts is consistently one of the top mission-giving churches in both the association and the state convention. We also send out a good number of teams each year on local, regional, North American, and International trips. The Pitts congregation is a stable body of believers, with consistent addition of new members. We are located in the Concord Mills area of Cabarrus County. Responsibilities: Plan, develop, and coordinate the music ministry of the church Lead a music ministry that invites God’s people to worship and praise Him in both old and new ways Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating of a comprehensive music program, including choirs, soloists, vocal and instrumental ensembles Use technology that seeks to enhance and enrich the worship experience Assist the church staff with IT needs and equipment purchases Supervise the work of paid and volunteer workers in the music ministry Prepare and administer an annual music budget Maintain the church’s website, including weekly sermon uploading, splash screens, and individual ministry needs as they arise Perform other duties, as assigned by the Senior Pastor Qualifications: College Degree / Seminary Degree and/or extensive music ministry experience A clear call from God to full-time vocational service in the ministry A life that is in accordance with the qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3 A servant’s heart and a genuine love for worship All interested and qualified applicants should send their resume to Pastor Scott Davis at XXXX@pbcweb.orgVisit the Pitts Baptist Church website at pbcweb.org
