As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Sales department. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for inside sales, particularly focusing on marine hardware and navigation lights, with a special emphasis on addressing delivery issues and accurately entering a high volume of orders. Key Responsibilities: Customer Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key customers and prospects through phone, fax, and personal communications. Teamwork: Collaborate with your team to enhance efficiency, solve problems, and make informed decisions. Utilize company resources effectively and provide assistance to peers and management. Sales Representatives: Keep a close eye on the efforts and methods of field sales representatives. Identify and resolve existing and potential issues, report on performance, and offer technical support and guidance. Programs & Promotions: Assist in the development of marketing programs and promotions, contribute innovative ideas, and address emerging problems. Attend local boat shows as needed. Leadership: Strive to improve morale, efficiency, and productivity. Support your colleagues in enhancing their skills. Inside Sales Functions: Handle various inside sales tasks, including answering phone calls, order entry, clerical duties, small order requests, maintaining logs, making sales efforts by phone, and promptly responding to emails. Develop a deep knowledge of our products to provide informed customer assistance. The Company Perko - is one of the oldest manufacturers of marine hardware, and navigation lights. A truly integrated manufacturer, Perko is almost completely independent of outside vendors, with the exception of raw materials. Perko offers a whole range of complete in-house capabilities, from product design through manufacturing and assembly of finished products, enable us to eliminate most subcontractors and obtain better control of our product quality and delivery. Over the years, PERKO has grown and is now housed in a modern facility, spanning over 400,000 square feet on 17 acres in Miami, Florida. Even now, with 5th generation family control, our business philosophy continues to emphasize long term commitment to quality leadership in the marine industry. The Person: Hold a High School Degree Have three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess mechanical or boating experience (a plus). Be familiar with Microsoft and Excel (a plus). Proficiency in English. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively. Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures, proportions, percentages, and basic algebra and geometry concepts. Solid reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.
