Marathon TS is seeking a Spunk Engineer to support a federal client in Washington, D.C. s Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) System Engineer , you will support the design, deployment, implementation, and maintenance of the Splunk ITSI platform utilizing cyber engineering strategies, tools, and techniques to enhance the client's cybersecurity posture. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT services to meet system and program requirements and goals. Apply Now! Job Duties: Design, deploy, configure, and customize Splunk ITSI to meet monitoring and analytics needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts. Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and scalability. Implement and manage data inputs, including log files, metrics, and other data sources, to feed into Splunk ITSI. Develop and maintain automation scripts and integrations to streamline processes. Provide technical expertise and support to resolve issues and optimize configurations. Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning activities. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certification(s): Preferred, but not mandatory: Splunk Core Certified Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience with Slunk Enterprise, including writing Splunk queries in SPL. Required Experience: Python. Linux OS, services, daemons, containers, and VMs. Splunk administration. SIEM tools or software. Demonstrated experience and abilities: Working in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials. Critical, analytical, and strategic thinking. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and requirements, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desired experience/familiarity in/with: Supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
