The ideal candidate should possess expertise in federal and state tax elements, with a focus on one or more of the following specialties: Partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, or tax considerations related to real estate investments. Knowledge of state and local tax laws is highly desirable, and experience with tax-exempt organizations is a plus. The candidate should have a strong academic background and exceptional research, writing, and communication skills. Admission to the California Bar is a mandatory requirement, and previous experience in a large law firm is preferred.Duties:Conduct thorough research on federal and state tax laws, staying abreast of relevant updates and changes.Provide comprehensive tax advice and strategic guidance to clients, particularly in areas of Partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate investments.Review and analyze complex tax documents and agreements.Collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm to address multi-disciplinary legal issues.Stay informed on developments in tax law, ensuring compliance with regulations and identifying potential opportunities for clients.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax matters.Specialization in one or more of the following: Partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, or tax considerations related to real estate investments.Knowledge of state and local tax laws is a plus.Experience with tax-exempt organizations is advantageous.Strong academic background with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.Admission to the California Bar is mandatory.Certifications:California Bar admission.Skills:Excellent research and analytical skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in handling complex tax documents and agreements.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Job Location:Irvine, CA
