Job Title: Summer Bash Childcare Teacher Location: Victory Church, Norcross Campus Job Type: Part-time, 28 hours/week Job Description: Victory Church is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals, aged 16 or older, to join our team at Summer Bash. This annual summer day camp caters to the children of our staff members, providing a fun and enriching experience throughout the summer vacation period. Responsibilities: 1. General Care: Provide attentive and compassionate care to children aged 5-14, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the camp hours, Monday to Thursday, from approximately 9:30AM to 4:00PM. 2. Program Coordination: Assist in planning and executing a variety of activities including ministry sessions, crafts, indoor/outdoor play, and field trips, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for all participants. All resources for camp sessions will be supplied. 3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with Team Members and Staff to maintain a positive and supportive environment for both Summer Bash attendee’s and other Team Members. Effective communication and cooperation are essential for the success of the program. 4. Leadership: Lead outdoor events and field trips, guiding children with confidence and ensuring their adherence to safety protocols at all times. 5. Attendance and Punctuality: Demonstrate commitment to the role by attending planning meetings, starting as early as May 1, 2024 and participating in weekly coordination meetings throughout the summer. Flexibility is available for planned absences due to family vacations or prior commitments. Summer Bash starts May 28th and concludes with a party on August 1, 2024 6. Background Check: Have or successfully pass a comprehensive background check prior to starting employment, ensuring the safety and security of all camp participants. Requirements: 1. Genuine Love for Children: Possess a genuine passion for working with children and creating positive experiences for them. 2. Reliability: Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality, with reliable transportation to and from the camp location. 3. Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas, offering support, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere among staff members. 4. Age Range Management: Have the ability to manage and engage children across a broad age range, adapting communication and activities to suit individual needs . Elementary age children and middle school aged youth will have separate “camp” experiences. 5. Leadership Skills: Exhibit leadership qualities, including confidence, responsibility, and the ability to guide and inspire children in various activities and situations.
