Position Overview Provides quality Occupational Therapy services, consistent with discipline and professional standards including: prevention, identification, evaluation, backssment, education, use of interventions and management of occupational performance components and performance areas; education and supervision of students and professionals; consultation with and referral to other professionals; and research. Maintains professional accountability, professional judgment and reasoning with a high level of communication and collaboration. As a team member of the Priority Home Service, the Occupational Therapist is primarily responsible for providing clinical services. The OT will: collaborate with the interprofessional hospital and community team and clients to support client’s care needs; provide direct and indirect backssment; treatment; follow-up; planning and designing services to meet occupational performance goals; provide recommendations for client, family and team; assign tasks to a Rehabilitation Assistant (RA); complete ongoing monitoring of assigned RA program(s); support healthy client lifestyles, minimize further illness and disability, and provide advocacy where indicated. .
