MMC is seeking candidates for the following position based in our NYC office. Project Manager Primary responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of tax-related projects to make sure they are completed within scope, budget, and timeline. The role will involve overseeing the end-to-end execution of tax initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to the planning and strategic execution of tax projects. The ideal candidate is an experienced hands-on project management professional who will play a crucial role in supporting tax professionals in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and optimizing tax strategies.What can you expect? Opportunity to learn from and work with experienced tax professionals Space to grow professionally and expand technical knowledge and professional skills Competitive pay, generous benefits, employer matching and contribution to 401k Generous paid time off, sick time, volunteer day per year and company paid holidays We will count on you to: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives, requirements, and ensure alignment with tax strategies Develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines Track and monitor project status, including key milestones, deliverables, and budget utilization Provide regular updates and communication to project team members, stakeholders, and senior management regarding project status, risks, and issues Manage project resources, including budget, staffing, and external vendors, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as finance, legal and tax authorities to ensure alignment and successful execution of tax projects Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance project delivery and efficiency Ensure project deliverables are compliant with all applicable tax laws and regulations, such as timely documentation of information and filing of tax returns What you need to have: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field 5 years of Project Management Experience and a proven track record of successfully managing projects Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred Ability to communicate confidently with senior leaders and stakeholders What makes you stand out? Master's degree in taxation, finance, or a relevant certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant) Familiarity with Tax Concepts: Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements is preferred. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.The applicable base salary range for this role is $93,000 to $185,900.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
