When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully. The Sexual Assault Center of Family Services provides services 24/7 to victims of sexual violence and their families and friends. The Sexual Assault Center provides sensitive services to all victims regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation or disability. Crisis intervention, information and referral, counseling, follow-up assistance, medical, legal and personal advocacy, support group, as well as community education are among the services provided. The Sexual Assault Center is seeking a Bilingual Advocate I (Spanish/English) to provide direct services to sexual assault victims including crisis counseling, advocacy, and support by delivering service that is trauma-informed, culturally competent, strength-based, and client directed. This position provides direct services to sexual assault victims including crisis counseling, advocacy and support by delivering service that is trauma-informed, culturally competent, strength-based and client directed. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience and have 0-3 years of experience working with sexual assault survivors or similar work experience. Written and oral fluency in the Spanish language and knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic culture are also required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. A valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle, auto insurance and an acceptable driving record are required for this position, and candidates will be required to maintain an approximately 30-minute response time to downtown Green Bay while on call. On-call rotation for after-hours coverage of crisis line and in-person crisis response is required in this position. Come join our team!
