Instrumental Music/Music Technology Teacher Salesian High School 148 Main Street New Rochelle, NY 10802 Salesian High School is an independent college preparatory boys' high school located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The ideal candidate is a motivating and engaging teacher who can build an instrumental music program from the ground up. The Instrumental Music/Music Technology Teacher will develop curriculum and creative teaching strategies that include instrumental music lessons. Academic Year: 2024-25 Responsibilities: Create, develop and teach highly engaging, rigorous music curriculum including instrumental music lessons with the goal of forming an instrumental ensemble. Incorporate technology into music education, teaching students how to use software and hardware for music production, recording and composition. Build strong and lasting relationships with students while encouraging them to hold themselves to high standards for academics and character. Establish and uphold classroom routines to ensure a focused, safe and caring environment. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure student mastery of standards. Maintain close relationships with families of students through phone calls and conferences. Contributetotheschoolcommunitythroughperformanceandpresenceatschool events.
