As our Lead Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who may have complex support needs and need to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. Work at our accommodation based service which is a recovery house called Unity house where the rest of the team is based. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know! Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator) Providing housing related support - Not personal care Creating support plans with your customers and managing your own caseload Customer group - Drugs and substance misuse and individuals at risk of homelessness Supporting customers with independent living skills such as shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able. Encouraging customers to attend mutual aid groups and engage with treatment services Carrying out risk backssments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too. You'll work in the community promoting the service with referral agencies and provide drop-ins to potential customers.
