The Financial/Insurance Coordinator works with patients to resolve account problems and assist patients with insurance benefits. In addition, this position communicates with insurance companies regarding claims, enters all insurance checks, and reviews accounts for further action. The Financial/Insurance Coordinator fills in at the front desk on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities:• Study the insurance plans that are used most frequently with patients to understand the various nuances of each plan in order to communicate more effectively• Enter all dental insurance payments and patient payments• Prepare daily deposits. Check the accuracy of all postings including but not limited to: adjustments, payment type, entry errors, and doctor numbers• Daily scan all processed EOBs relating to the insurance checks entered • Send statements to patients with an outstanding balance after insurance payment is entered • Monitors Accounts Receivable• Correspond with insurance companies to resolve payment delays, requests for additional information, or discuss treatment that has been denied coverage Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of six months to one year of related experience and/or training Or • An equivalent combination of education and experience Compensation: $25 - $27 hourly About Company: Our Core Values MaturityIntegrityPositivity and HumorTeam AttitudeCustomer Service Philosophy We provide the highest standard of personalized patient care while having fun, creating an inviting atmosphere, and building a lifetime of confidence and healthy dental habits.
