POSITION SUMMARY Take your career to the next level as the Lead Driver & Trainer in Yakima, WA, with Bellair Charters / Airporter Shuttle. In this role you’ll use your skills to train and support Charter and Airporter Shuttle drivers. As you grow those you supervise, you’ll be growing your own skills and abilities as a leader and a positive example to everyone you serve. This is an opportunity for a new road and a new adventure. But ultimately, this is an opportunity for a new you!The Lead Driver & Trainer oversees key aspects of driver training, development and growth in the Bellair Airporter Shuttle office in Yakima, WA. Duties required to preform are as following, but not limited to: Driver training and coaching Daily evaluation of trainee driver progress and growth Ongoing development of high performing drivers through relationship building, coaching and positive reinforcement Driver supervision, corrective action as needed, documentation, record keeping, and general department maintenance Strategic planning company leadership as requested REQUIRED FUNCTIONS : Possession of a proven track record as an effective leader and supervisor Have and model exceptional internal and external customer service skills Ability to work well with others and be a team player; seek ways to promote a positive attitude in the workplace on an on-going basis and foster company values Demonstrated proficiency as a Supervisor with an internal drive to continue growing and developing personal leadership skills Teach and lead others with encouragement and by example, modeling a desire to learn Implement and evaluate on-going driver training Posses strong typing skills and computer literacy; ability to sit for long periods of time Maintain current CDL licensing standards & comply with company testing requirements, be a role model for staff this position supervises Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test & criminal background check if an offer of employment is extended HOURS : Minimum 40 hours per week SALARY : $24.00 up to $27.00 per hour depending on experience 40 hours per week ( various days must include 1 weekend day) Vacation Paid holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas) BENEFITS : After 90 days of employment, this position is eligible for the following benefits: Medical / Dental / Vision EXPERIENCE : 1-2 years related experience, preferred. EDUCATION : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) CERTIFICATES & LICENSES : Commercial Drivers License (CDL A or B) - Required Passenger Endorsement (P-1) – Required COMPUTER QUALIFICATIONS : Requires a working knowledge of computers & technology as well as possess adequate typing skills POSITION SKILLS : Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility & account for his/her actions Accurate - Ability to perform work accurately & thoroughly Adaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace or shift variance Administrative - Ability to complete administrative tasks & the corresponding paperwork effectively, accurately & efficiently Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking & reasoning to solve a problem Assertiveness - Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment or to defend a position or idea Autonomy - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Communication – Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word Hands on - Ability to model properly to get desired results Detail-Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details & relay that to others Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values & acceptable standards Friendly - Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others Motivatio n - Ability to inspire oneself & others to reach the goal or perform to the best of their ability Organized - Following a systematic method of performing a task to completion Patience - Ability to act calmly under stress & strain, & of not being hasty or impetuous.
