This role will assist the Indirect Tax team in coordinating state and local tax audits and ensuring compliance with all legal and reporting regulations in the US and Canada. Responsibilities * Assist in the preparation of monthly sales and use tax and fee validation checks. * Assist in the preparation of monthly Canadian GST, QST and BC tax validation checks. * Analyze and enter exemption requests into Vertex system. * Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant general ledger tax account variances. * Prepare research for audit requests and amendments to sales and use tax returns. * Assist with researching and documenting tax positions as they pertain to Benjamin Moore & Co. and the goals of the organization. * Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc analyses, as requested. Qualifications * Accounting major * Knowledge Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Verbal, Writing, and Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment. * Self-motivated with effective organizational skills * Analytical and accounting skills, Managing Processes and ability to meet deadlines, Strong Attention to Detail, General Math SkillsCompensation PhilosophyAt Benjamin Moore, our brand represents excellence, and we strive to provide a comprehensive total rewards package to match.
