Responsibilities: Performs preliminary patient screening for optometrist including, but not limited to obtaining ocular and medical history, visual acuity measuring, intraocular pressure, dilation as needed Diagnostic testing (OCT, Optos, VF, Oculus) Assists with office flow for timeliness Sterilizes and sets up instruments Maintains instruments, including troubleshooting, cleaning Organizes and stocks exam rooms Teaching first time contact lens patients on proper insertion and removal Required Qualifications: Minimum 1+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant working in a clinical or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (knowledge of Nextech MDI is a plus) Strong written and verbal communication. Experience with slit lamp microscope, and basic patient work ups.
