Made Possible.MISSION / SUMMARY:This position will be responsible for providing engineer related support to various production departments to assist with: developing and/or updating existing operating manuals for equipment and employee training documents and procedures; equipment performance metrics (i.e. downtime and waste reduction) and quality improvements.JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following. * Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failure * Analyze downtime to identify "bad actors" and assist in prioritizing efficient make-ready, runnability and reliability improvement efforts * Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer * Assist in maintaining and modifying existing equipment, make-ready processes and control systems * Assist in writing standard operating procedures and SQF processes * Provide engineering support for other departments as needed * Present project savings to the department periodically and in total at the end of the internshipKEY COMPETENCIES: * Comfortable working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments * Desire to work on projects * Leadership skills * Good analytical skills with attention to detail * Strong oral and written communication abilities * Ability and desire to work in a team environment * Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications * Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the businessEDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical or related Engineering discipline.INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: * Three (3) positions * Full-Time Preferred (40 hours per week) * Duration (May/June - August/Sept) * Pay Based on Year in College and Previous Work Experience * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical or related Engineering discipline.Graphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
